The Phone Grip Stand magnetically snaps onto the iPhone 12 series and later models with built-in MagSafe magnets. It also attaches to Apple MagSafe cases and ESR magnetic cases.
If you have an iPhone without built-in magnets, a Samsung Galaxy, a Google Pixel, or another phone? Stick one of the 2 included metal rings on the back of your phone or case, and the grip stand will attach to it. A metal ring doesn’t hold as firmly as built-in MagSafe magnets.
How strong is the magnetic hold on the MagSafe-compatible Phone Grip Stand, and do I need a case?
The magnetic hold depends on your setup. You can use the Phone Grip Stand without a case if your iPhone has built-in MagSafe magnets. For non-MagSafe phones, you can use the included metal ring, though this setup provides the weakest hold.
